Program Overview
The FORTE Traveling Fellowship is an annual, fully-sponsored fellowship program with rotating topics, and it is specifically tailored for European Orthopaedic Residents. In October 2023, our focus will be on pediatric and developmental pathology. Currently, we are accepting applications for a single program, scheduled to take place in the Netherlands/Belgium.
During this fellowship, selected candidates will have the unique opportunity to visit various hospitals alongside two fellow participants. This program primarily involves an observational experience, offering exposure to a wide range of surgical procedures. Additionally, participants will actively engage in scientific discussions and sessions. The specialists from the participating hospitals are widely respected for their expertise in their respective subspecialties. Their insights will undoubtedly provide a wealth of knowledge that can significantly benefit your future practice.

Clinical and Surgical Program
During the fellowship, participants will delve into a diverse range of topics:
- Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH)
- Hip osteotomy
- Lower limb deformities
- Limp lengthening (Precice system)
- Epiphysiodesis
- Clubfoot
- Osteogenesis imperfecta

Application Process
Applications are open via email at info@forteortho.org, and the requirements are:
- FORTE Membership updated
- Residency in Orthopedic Surgery
- Motivation letter (interest and experience in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery)
- CV and two letters of recommendation
